In addition to the development, manufacture and sale of textile tools, Groz-Beckert is also a machine manufacturer that produces around 150 production and measuring machines a year for its own production. Our approximately 150 employees in the central development department develop new machines and production processes and look after the more than 5,000 active production machines over their entire life cycle - worldwide.

 

Your tasks

  • You will work in a team of PLC software developers and ensure the design, implementation and testing of software for our production machines
  • You will define and realise a modern software architecture for our control software 
  • You will drive the development of software standards and contribute new ideas to improve software concepts
  • You work in a team on the further development of our software framework for configurable CNC production machines
  • You will liaise closely with other teams and implement interfaces to the HMI, PC applications and data acquisition systems
  • You will be involved in the support and further development of the software for our production machines over the entire lifecycle 

 

Your qualification

  • You have a degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, automation technology or a comparable qualification 
  • You can look back on several years of professional experience in the field of software development in machinery and plant engineering
  • You are very familiar with software development for automation solutions and modern approaches to software architecture in machinery and plant engineering are important to you 
  • You have experience in PLC programming, preferably with Beckhoff TwinCAT3 
  • You have good communication skills, are a team player and have an analytical mindset
  • You have a very good command of German and can also converse in English
  • A fair and cooperative approach is important to you
