IT Manager (Singapore)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Manager to lead our technology operations and IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing IT infrastructure, ensuring data security, supporting business systems, and driving technology strategies to support organizational goals. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both technical expertise and strategic vision
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering & Digital Transformation (20%)
- Act as the IT contact point for Asia business leaders, ensuring clear communication of regional needs to the Global IT teams.
- Relay and coordinate requests, issues, and feedback between the business and global IT teams.
- Support the identification of local process improvement opportunities and channel them appropriately for global evaluation.
- Facilitate awareness and adoption of new systems and processes introduced by global IT, ensuring business users are informed and supported through change
Regional Supervision & Team Leadership (20%)
- Provide direct and indirect supervisory guidance to site IT personnel across the Asia region.
- Act as the team leader for local IT staff in Asia locations, overseeing daily operations and mentoring colleagues to achieve high performance.
- Coordinate with global service owners to ensure consistent application of IT standards, policies, procedures and service delivery.
Operations & Support (50%)
- Oversee daily IT operations across regional sites, ensuring consistent service delivery and system availability.
- Provide in-depth exposure and practical expertise across core IT Infrastructure and Operations domains, including:
- ITIL-based service management and helpdesk operations.
- Digital workplace solutions (end-user computing, collaboration and communication).
- Network and server infrastructure management both on premises and Cloud.
- Microsoft 365 environment and office productivity tools
- Ensure desktop client health compliance, including patch management, endpoint protection, and configuration standards.
- Act as the escalation point for complex issues, with the capability to provide hands-on, ground-level troubleshooting when necessary.
Governance & Compliance (10%)
- Serve as the Asia Regional Information Security Officer
- Enforce compliance with information security frameworks, including ISO 27001.
- Monitor adherence to regional IT regulations and corporate governance requirements.
- Drive continuous improvements in IT controls and risk management practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience in a MNCs, with proven direct and indirect supervisory responsibilities.
- Broad IT expertise across infrastructure, business applications, cybersecurity, and cloud platforms.
- Strong track record of supporting or facilitating digital transformation projects, with the ability to identify and deliver process improvements.
- Demonstrated experience across ITIL, service desk operations, Microsoft 365, networking, server infrastructure, and endpoint management.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001 standards and information security best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, able to bridge business needs with technical solutions.
- Fluency in Chinese (written and spoken) and proficiency in English are essential. Knowledge of German would be a plus.
- Culturally sensitive with the ability to work effectively across diverse countries and territories.
