At Groz-Beckert, the Sales Manager will be responsible to identify and develop new business opportunities to increase turnover, including acquiring new customers and expanding share within existing markets. Sustain and secure revenue from existing customers through proactive engagement and consistent service.
Job Responsibilities
- Promote and sell Groz-Beckert sewing needles and related products in the assigned market of Bangladesh.
- Generate new sales orders and achieve monthly/annual sales targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the garment manufacturing sector.
- Spend at least 60% of working time visiting customers.
- Understand customer needs, pain points, and technical requirements to recommend suitable products.
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers to ensure loyalty and repeat business.
- Work closely with local dealers to ensure product availability, timely delivery, and effective market coverage.
- Support dealer teams with product knowledge, promotional activities, and customer follow-up.
- Monitor dealer performance and provide regular feedback for improvement.
- Work within the Bangladesh team in making operational planning, demand forecasting, pricing decisions and market strategy.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly sales reports, visit summaries, competitor analysis, and market updates.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status.
- Provide basic guidance on product usage, needle selection, and troubleshooting to customers.
- Coordinate with technical teams when needed to resolve customer issues promptly.
- Participate in product training, exhibitions, customer seminars, and promotional events.
- Ensure adherence to company sales policies, ethical standards, and brand guidelines.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering or Business Administration from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the Bangladesh garments or textile sector.
- Experience in selling sewing needles or related industrial consumables will be considered as an advantage.
- Preferably knowledgeable in International Business practices and related export–import documentation, including PI, L/C, AWB, BL, CO, IGM, and other shipment-related processes.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage field visits, and meet sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
